How to Create a Test
Create a Fabasoft app.test Project by opening the "File" menu and select "New" > "Fabasoft app.test Project".
Now you can create a new Test by opening the context menu of the projects "Tests" folder and select "New Test".
How to Record a Test
For recording Tests the Test Recorder is used. Open a test file and click the "Start/Stop Recorder" button in the "Outline" view.
Enter the properties for starting Test Recorder into the "Start Recorder" dialog and click "OK".
Before starting to record steps make sure that the use case is selected within the test (in the "Outline" view).
Switch to the Point and Click Recorder window that has opened when starting the Test Recorder and click "Start Recording".
After clicking this button each step you execute in the Point and Click Recorder (clicking a button, setting an input field etc.) is recorded as an execution statement in Fabasoft app.test.
You can see all recorded steps in the "Outline" view of the app.test Studio.
To stop recording, click the "Stop Recording" button in the Point and Click Recorder window.
Back in the app.test Studio you have to stop the Test Recorder by clicking the "Start/Stop Recorder" button in the "Outline" view.
Finally save the test you have recorded ("File">"Save").
How to Run a Test
After recording a Test it can be executed in the Test Player.
Open the context menu of the Test in the "Projects" view and select "Run".
Now you can enter the properties for starting the Test Player.
The progress of a running Test is shown in the "Test State" of the Fabasoft app.test Studio.
